It always amazes me how much our little ones learn in their first year - one of God's greatest gifts given to parents is the opportunity to see these babes grow and learn right before our eyes!
Kolton seems to learn something new every day, I know I always say I just want to freeze time and that my little ones are growing up much too quickly but I've kinda conceded on this point and I love to just sit back and watch their amazing developments. Kolton is an incredible crawler and can disappear out of a room in just seconds - usually looking for some kind of trouble! Just today we were at Kolton's doctors appointment and the Dr. was asking if Kolton could pull himself up; we replied that we haven't seem him even really trying to do that yet . . . however Kolton must have been paying attention because all afternoon he's been pulling himself up to at least his knees, and I have no doubt that he'll be pulling to a standing position in no time at all!
Today was Kolton's first haircut - we weren't too sure how it was going to go but unfortunately we just couldn't wait for the next time we saw Auntie Kayt as Kolton was pretty close to needing a beret to keep the hair out of his eyes! He was pretty good through the whole thing and the lady actually did as well as could be expected on a squirmy babe:)
We just continue to enjoy our happy laid back little guy. Almost anyone who spends 5 minutes with him comments on how smiley and happy he is and it's so true! He's actually had a bit of a cold over the past week so we've seen a bit more of a grouchy side at times, but despite being a bit under the weather he still can't hold back his smiles for too long.
The past month was especially fun as we're lucky enough to get to spend a couple of weeks with the Fultons in Barbados and Bequia - many pic's to come on this post! For the most part Kolton sat back and watched the big kids have all the fun but it is only a matter of time until he's right in the middle of the mix too:)
Kolton's 9 month stats came in at 29.75 inches tall and 21.5 lbs - looking back at Kailie's stats at this age she was just a bit shorter and a bit heavier!! Kolton sure eats as good as Kailie ever did but he sure always seems to be on the move (usually looking for trouble!!).
This past weekend we've been enjoying getting ready for Easter - Bermuda Style. We spent Thursday and Good Friday at the park flying kites and having picnics and Sunday we'll take in a sunrise service at the beach and then have a little Easter Bunny fun with the kids later in the day.
Holidays like this always make us miss everyone back home - we hope everyone there is enjoying their Easter weekend.
Just a few pic's on this post - more to come soon!
My sweet boy - post hair cut at 9 months! I've also posted his pic with 'Mr Bear' on the sidebar.
Haircut in process - it had to be quick and many distractions were needed. To be honest it was a bit of hack job but he wasn't exactly an easy client! Maybe Auntie Kayt will have better luck next time:)
Kailie decided she better get in on the fun too - this was her first time having her hair done at a salon. She loved it and felt very grown up. Her haircut worked out pretty good, it's a bit shorter and super cute!

Kailie's entry into the Easter Hat Competition at her school. She loved it!
We didn't win first prize, but we did win "Most Chicks on Hat" (and yes there is only one, but it was one more than anyone else in her group)!!! There are some pretty crafty The parade of hats!

I didn't really get many pic's of the Good Friday picnic and kite flying - but my dear Ace Girl Marsha couldn't pass up taking this picture . . . this is Mummy & Daddy getting Kailie's kite out of a tree!! Who says you can't still be an Acronaire after having a couple of kids ;-)
Happy Easter Everyone!!!!
