I wish I could find the time to blog every day. There are so many special moments that are happening all the time with our kiddos that I just can't keep up and I know I'll never be able to remember everything. This is my attempt at a catch up for all that's been going on but I just know I'm hitting the highlights!
Almost every day I ask
Kailie to stop growing and most days she just laughs and says "I have to keep growing Mama so I can wear my new PJ's (a pair of 'footed' pj's that are too big for her that she can't wait to grow into) but then I'll stop" . . . I pray she'll keep that promise!! She continues to grow into this beautiful interesting and outgoing (I know, we're shocked too!!) sweet girl. Preschool has widened her horizons more than any of us anticipated and while it can be exhausting keeping
up with all that goes on at school we are amazed at
Kailie's academic and social growth. Her thirst for knowledge is really what impresses me the most - she
definitely gets this trait from her Daddy - and I hope it stays with her through her whole life:)
Then there's my baby boy who also refuses to remain my baby for very long!! Joel just said today that he thinks
Kolton is giving me baby fever and I totally agreed with him!!! This age is SO much fun and now that we have the sleeping under control (he was a slow started but now that he finally figured it out he's a fantastic sleeper!!) we just sit back and enjoy every moment with him. He is just such a happy easy kid I would easily agree to have a bunch more if they came along and stayed just like he is right now - however I'm quickly learning that these babes just keep on growing and so do the responsibilities, so for now I'll just be quite content with our little family just as it is! In the first few months of 2012
Kolton has cut his first 2 teeth (the first one cut through on the same day we were celebrating
GG's 93rd birthday!) . . . he has mastered eating, sitting, spinning, rolling and most recently creeping and
sooooo close to actually crawling - although he gets wherever he needs to
without crawling and at a rapid pace, so crawling is almost an after-thought at this point! He is totally
addicted to electrical cords and can spot them and get right to them before you even realize what's happened! If you pay a little bit of attention to him he will probably start giggling and makes anyone stop in their tracks with his sweet smile:)
As usual the pictures all say it best . . . .

The only thing
Kailie loves more than playing on her swing is pushing
Kolton on his swing - Papa,
Kailie has already passed on the swing you made her to her baby brother:)

Such a great big sister and is a real help when Mummy is busy and
Kolton needs some extra attention.

Now if she could just change diapers . . . ;)

Due to some "Nanny Drama" at the beginning of the year, the
Mahons were gracious enough to put their lives on hold and come to Bermuda to help us out with
Kolton for a while. What a difference 6 months made in how well
Kailie and Asia played together - it was a a lot of fun to watch these two develop what I'm sure will be a lifelong friendship, not without their own fleeting moments of drama, but they are Robertson girls so that is to be expected!!

Such sweet little Princesses . . . most of the time ;)

Bouncy Castle Fun!

Baking with Mummy:)

This was a great moment -
Kailie came home from school and announced that her teacher (Mrs
Nelmes) said she should throw out ALL her dummies and we didn't want to stop her. We were a bit worried about this sudden decision but she has not looked back for a second!! However we certainly have seen a lot more thumb sucking since this day so not
exactly the result we were looking for but one battle at a time:)

This was my treat I picked up on our
cruise when we were in Mexico - we finally got it hung up and we all love
chillin out in the hammock. It's actually more of a
chair type hammock but can stretch out so you can lie down. Many afternoons after school
Kolton and I can be found here while we watch
Kailie on her swing - our own little piece of paradise:)
Kailie & Daddy getting in their Hammock-Time.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these two babes!

Kailie & I got all dressed up for a Princess Tea Party that we attended at one of the
Fairmont in Hamilton - we had SO much fun on our girlie afternoon out:)

My crazy boy - he is just as mischevious as he looks!! Check out the two little chompers:)

Thanks
Fultons for my awesome toque!! We don't get to use it as much as we would in Canada but every now and then it gets cold enough to warrant the ears being covered and it comes in very handy!

Bath time is much more fun with two!

Always Smiling! Trying out a new reversible hat that is almost too small!!

We don't get much swimming in over the winter months but we recently got lucky and were allowed into the indoor pool at the
Fairmont so we all enjoyed a nice warm swim!

This was mid-January when
Kolton graduated to the big car seat. Just another reminder of how quickly he's growing up!
Kailie's class spent a couple of weeks learning about careers and during this time they did some office visits and my office was one of their stops! We had about 20 of the kids come one morning to learn all about being an accountant (a tough sell when compared to firefighters, police officers, teachers, doctors, and well pretty much any other profession!!!!) but we did our best to make it fun!! The kids all came dressed as 'professionals' which was adorable, and they were so incredibly well behaved. They had a lot of fun with some office supplies and a shredder - in the end they didn't think being an accountant would be so bad after all . . . ;)
Kailie and Noah
practicing their stamping / sticky-note technique!

Our boardroom transformed!

Not sure who had more fun in the end, the
GAM Staff or the kids:)

Last day of Career week at school the kids got to dress up - couldn't sell the Accountant dress up over the Police Officer costume;)
Thx Nicola and Noah for lending it to us:)

The littlest one all ready for a vacation!

Never enough kisses:)

A little bit more of a squeeze . . . . !

Finally the dust settled and we are so happy to have Julie as our new Nanny. She is incredible with Kailie & Kolton and has brought order back into my life!! Also in this pic is little Shreya who will be spending most days with Kolton and Julie at our house.
