Kailie's First Trip To Disney World!

We had a great time in Disney last week - there are so many pictures to sort through so it's taken me so long to get this blog posted!

Kailie was a little super-star traveller . . . not only on the planes but on all the trekking around Disney that Mom and Dad did! We all had a great time on our first family vacation and look forward to many more . . . many of which will probably see us back at Disney!!

We had a "Princess Lunch" the first day we were there - Kailie started off with Belle and went on to meet a few other lovely princesses . . . next time Mom will be sure to get Kailie dressed up in her own princess dress!!

7 Months!

Wow – what a great month we’ve had!! Between all our guests and how quickly we have seen Kailie growing and developing it’s hard to keep up with our little angel!

Kailie’s pace of learning seems to be increasing and an increasing rate! All of Kailie’s visitors couldn’t get over how much Kailie would change just over the duration of their visit . . . and we can’t believe how much she’s changed just since everyone has been here!!

She now loves sitting up all on her own and has can get around pretty good despite the fact she’s not crawling yet . . . she just somehow manages to rock, roll, turn, or twist to get wherever she needs to be! Although she’s not crawling yet everyday she spends more time on her hands and knees rocking back and forth just desperate to get on the move! So far it’s only been backwards but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before we have on girl on the go.

Kailie continues to be a little chatterbox . . . we now hear both Da-Da-Da and Ma-Ma-Ma quite a bit which we love! She is still eating like a little champ and trying more new foods all the time - the only thing that can distract her from her food is one of the cats! She is mesmerized by the kitties and you can see it in her eyes – they are in big trouble when she figures out how to get those chubby little fingers around that tail!

While Kailie was teething we had a few wake-ups during the night but she seems to have found her stride again (much to Mom and Dad’s relief!) and has been sleeping as long as she ever has throughout the night. We still have a bit of a battle on our hands around bedtime but much better than when we started – it’s usually only a few minutes of her being upset that we have to endure and I continue to wonder if that will ever get any easier.

Next up is Disney!!! We leave in just a few days – Kailie has a big job ahead of her trying to keep Mom and Dad calm for the next few days as we tend to get pretty excited when it comes to Disney . . . I’m sure we’ll have some great pictures to share when we get home!

On an almost daily basis we wish we were closer to our family and friends back home so that they could all be sharing in all the very exciting moments of Kailie’s life. We do look forward to seeing a lot of you in August while we are back in CDA though!

7 Month Photo Shoot!

Trying to get this month's picture with 'Mr. Bear' was hilarious!! Kailie wanted to wrestle with the bear and it was almost impossible to get a good comparison picture . . . thought I would share a few of the pictures that didn't make the cut:) Kailie's 7 Month actual post to follow!
