As is always the case I don't know how it's already been a month, on one hand it's gone by in a blink and on the other hand it feels like Kolton has been part of our family forever:)
It's been an incredible month as a family of 4! Our little boy has been a wonderful addition to our family that we all adore (big sister included).
At Kolton's one-month check up everything was looking great, he weighed in at 11 lbs and 12 oz which was measuring in the 95th percentile and his height was 22 inches which is into the 75th percentile (which means we're well on our way to having a chunky monkey)!
We've had a few struggles with sleep, moreso than we really thought we should be having. He really seemed to be in some kind of pain as he often struggled with both eating and getting to sleep, it turns out he's got a bit of reflux, however after being perscribed some Zantac he seems to be back to his happy (sleepy) little self :) I think we are still a ways away from sleeping through the night but his night stretches are starting to show promise, so we are hopeful!
I've posted Kolton's One Month picture beside (a slightly worn) 'Mr. Bear' on the side bar - I think he looks a lot bigger than Kailie did at her one-month picture but as it turns out the two of them were very similar in size if you look back to Kailie's one month posting:) http://comingsoon-babymatthews.blogspot.com/2008/12/one-month-old.html
Here are some pic's of our sweet little KMJM - and his big sister too:)

We Miss You Mahon's!
We were so thrilled to have the Mahon's come and visit us for soooooo many reasons. Kolton's due date was July 7th, which meant than if he arrived on any day around that date Joel would be very torn between his new babe and his work schedule. Each year end and 1/2 year end we all get very prepared to see Joel very little as his work schedule is very grueling at these times, so Kolton's due date wasn't exactly ideal!
As I didn't really want to take on a new babe all by myself along with my sweet little ('clingy') Mommy's girl, we asked the Mahon's if they would mind coming to stay with us over this time to help us out with this transition. Fortunately for us they agreed and not only were they a great help we all had a really good time.
We were so pleased to get some really good cuddle time with Savannah before Kolton arrived and it was very special to have my sister here when our babe made his appearance as we really miss our family when these momentous moments come along.
We were all a bit surprised at Kailie and Asia as we thought the two of them would be best buds for the entire visit, however I guess we didn't really consider how 2 two-year old's who don't really know each other all that well would do under the same roof!!! It was definitely interesting as these two girls are very different (each in their very own special way of course)! Suffice it to say that it wasn't always harmonious, however they certainly did have some great times playing together (just took a bit of referring at times)! I have no doubt that as these girls grow up together they will become great buds, they just need to get past 2 I think ;-)
Given there were two new babes and two adorable little girls in our midst you can only imagine how many pictures were taken, I've chosen just some of my favorites but there are still lots so you can see all the fun we had.
Auntie Kayt, Uncle Stefan - we miss you guys and your beautiful girls, thank you so much for all your help and time, we can't wait to see you again soon. Luv, JKKK

This is just one of the incredible dishes that Chef Stefan made for us while he was here - SO much great cooking (who knew that could happen in our house)?! The first day the Mahon's were gone JM and I made a frozen pizza that we burnt and left the cardboard on when we put it in the oven . . . . oh how we miss the yummy food!!!! I think we should have paid a bit more attention to what was going on in our kitchen while they were here :)
